Practice Caution When Online
While AI can and is often used for good and honest tasks such as synthesizing information quickly, it is also used for fraudulent activity. Please, do not be fooled into sending money or gift cards via an email request. Always verify the request with the alleged source of the email. If you know the person's phone number, call them. |

Diocesan Executive Council Adopts Comprehensive Safe Church Policy
Members of the Diocese of Edmonton Executive Council, elected and appointed representatives from across the diocese, recently took measures to help ensure our church communities are safe spaces for everyone. Executive Council voted to receive the Safe Church Policy, which will supersede the previous Safe Church document as of April 1, 2025. The comprehensive, 56-page document, which includes a quick reference guide, was reviewed by several diocesan committees, including the Diocesan Advisory and Response Team (DART), the newly established Policy and Procedures Committee and the Administration and Finance Committee, before being brought to Executive Council.

GATHERING AROUND THE KITCHEN TABLEThursday afternoons 1.30pm - 2.45pm A Zoom Event I'm so happy that it is time to gather again. Our weekly winter session will resume on Thursday, January 16th from 1:30 to 2:45 pm. You are invited to gather together on Zoom to enjoy these informal afternoons with friends as we explore and reflect on various aspects of our life of faith--and how this informs the choices we make as we encounter the complex and sometimes confusing times that we live in.
Handouts will be sent by e-mail early each week to help bring a focus to our conversation. So bring your coffee or tea or “whatever” and gather around our virtual kitchen table.
If you have any questions or want more information, contact me at wildrosie7@gmail.com. Please feel free to invite a friend to join us.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all each week.
Anne
