The City of Edmonton would like to join us at the next coffee party at the Sunshine Garden on Wednesday, August 3rd at 9:30 am! The City is conducting a study of the 101 Ave corridor, and are hosting a number of pop up information sessions this summer. Since the Sunshine Garden is a community gathering place, we suggested that they join us! They will have a table set up for people to ask questions, take the survey and pick up a flyer. There will be no formal presentation. Come down to learn about this exciting new development in our community, ask questions, and give suggestions!
Background: The City of Edmonton selected the 101 Ave corridor and one other area (Norwood) in Edmonton for this study. One of the reasons why we were selected was due to the high level of community involvement and organization that already exists here. The goal of the project is to improve the vibrancy of the area. We also have other exciting developments in the corridor, including the new library, the Corner Store project at 79 Street, as well as replacing the Patricia Motel with new seniors housing. The 101 Ave project builds on this existing momentum to create something wonderful in our neighbourhood.
